TANI’s regional Network Meeting took place on 20th November at Western Springs Garden Community Hall.
We invited Francesca Manansala & Celesti Tan students from the University of Auckland (placement students at TANI) and Imogen Basset (Environment Protection Team) Auckland Council.
Francesca and Celesti presented their paper, Mapping Asian Health in Aotearoa New Zealand: A Scoping Review. The review examined Asian health research in Aotearoa from 2019 to 2024, exploring community needs, health initiatives, and the effectiveness of healthcare policies.
Imogen Basse emphasized the need to protect New Zealand's unique environment, which is increasingly threatened. Her presentation covered Auckland's environmental state, preservation strategies, and community involvement opportunities.TANI promoted Auckland Council’s Survey ‘Let’s Protect Our Environment’ encouraging the attendees to have their say on this important issue.
